December 16, 2008: U.S. Patent No. 7,466,539, "Electrochemical double-layer capacitor using organosilicon electrolytes" issued by USPTO, with Robert West and Robert Hamers as co-inventors. This patent describes theuse of organosilicon electrolytes with nanostructured carbon electrodes for electrochemical energy storage devices.

December 9, 2008: CTO Robert Hamers presents use of Silatronix organosilicon electrolytes in supercapacitors and batteries at the18th International Seminar on Double Layer Capacitors & Hybrid Energy Storage Devices, Deerfield Beach, Florida.
