New Research Shows Enhanced Thermal Stability for Organosilicon Electrolytes in Li-Ion Batteries

New research published in the Journal of The Electrochemical Society demonstrates dramatic improvements in the thermal and hydrolytic stability of Li-Ion batteries utilizing organosilicon based electrolytes. Sara L. Guillot of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, along with Adrian Peña-Hueso & Monica L. Usrey of Silatronix, and Robert J. Hamers, Steenbock Professor of Physical Science at the University of Wisconsin, Madison published the findings in ECS this month. The full paper can be reviewed here.
